Looks like lb.org is having problems

From: black_cavalier_1642 (Nils.A.Hedglin@Intel.Com) | Date: 2005-04-16 23:53:24 UTC

I tried to get to the Central CA Valley page & it gives the follow SQL
error:

Database error: Invalid SQL: SELECT C.CNTYNAME, S.stFullName, S.stAbbr,
S.stateID, B.lboxName, B.city, B.county, B.numBoxes, B.placeDate, B.ID,
B.maintainerID, B.ownerID, B.link, B.redir, F.dateFound, F.type FROM
County AS C INNER JOIN States AS S ON S.stateID=C.stateID INNER JOIN
Boxes AS B ON (B.county=C.CNTYNAME AND B.state=C.stateID) LEFT JOIN
Found AS F ON (B.ID=F.BoxID AND F.MemberID="7922") WHERE C.ctyRegion
= "California Central Valley" ORDER BY S.stFullName, B.county, B.city,
B.ownerID
MySQL Error: 1016 (Can't open file: 'Found.MYI' (errno: 145))
Session halted.

Hi BC,
Here are your choices for the reason.
#1 We all took a vote and you lost out.
#2 Gwen and I tipped the scales on our last Kernville plant and screwed up California.
#3 The geocachers have attacked.
#4 Armageddon
#5 Ryan really is Count Dracula and he is sucking juices from the internet.
#6 There really wasn't a change at LBNA, it was a hoax.
#7 There really was a boo boo and with the system down we will all panic thinking our clues went bye bye.
#8 This gives Wes and John something to do.

Don

Yeah, that was the same problem plaguing Atlas Quest most of the day
yesterday. (Little bit of trivia: AQ and LbNA are now hosted with the
same company so chances are when something weird is happening on one,
there's a good chance that something weird will soon happen on the
other if it hasn't already.)

I'll e-mail Choi the fix I used to get AQ working and hopefully he'll
get the problem fixed soon.

This reflects very poor Disaster Recovery planning. If something
happens to this company, all American letterboxing will be stopped
dead in its tracks! ;-)

Well, perhaps for a few days, but I do keep off-site backups of AQ
that I can ressurect with another hosting company if worse comes
worst. I don't know what the LbNA policy is on backups, though, I'm
sure they do keep backups as well.

It'll just have to go more "underground" and become more like
Dartmoor. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing! =)
